The Berlin-İstanbul Quarter 2014 yılında Berlin’de kurulmuş olan, farklı ülkelerde ve sanat mekanlarında sanatçılarla işbirliği yaparak projeler oluşturan sanal bir sanat alanıdır.

Mixer is proud to host the group exhibition “Borders and Boundaries” by The Berlin-Istanbul Quarter Artist Platform* between June 19th - July 15th, 2015. The exhibition showcases artworks from various disciplines such as photography, print, painting and video installations.

The built spaces act as a dominant power and put pressure on individuals to prevent them to freely express themselves. Physical and political barriers as such, carry a significant role in every aspect of the individual’s life, from language to lifestyles in physical and social spaces. The conceptual frame of “Borders and Boundaries” builds itself around these political, structural and social obstacles defining the individual’s identity.
