Pg Art Gallery is proud to present a solo show, ‘Little Friends’ by Ayşe Wilson between June 11st – July 3rd.

In her recent work, Wilson continues to mine the threshold between infancy and adolescence, innocence and experience. Whether depicting animate forms such as children and bunny girls or inanimate forms like donuts or rainbows, there always exists the idea of complexities disguised behind simple forms.

​Working from found photographs or her imagination, she paints children in isolation or in groups against monochromatic backgrounds. In group compositions, Wilson evokes school photographs, swim teams, choral ensembles, wedding parties and routine rite of passage.
