Mamut Art Project was launched with the aim of creating an alternative project that would grow along with emerging artists, supporting the goal of attainable art. In order to encourage the rise of upcoming artists, the project kicked off in May of 2013 at Antrepo No:3. The project’s second incarnation the following year took place at Küçük Çiftlik Park in April of 2014.

The exhibition will feature 500 works from 55 independent artists from Turkey, France, Ukraine, Bulgaria, and many other countries. These artists, selected by a jury, which includes Agah Uğur, Başak Şenova, Eda Kehale Argun, İnci Eviner and Osman Erden. The central theme of this year's exhibition is urban renewal. This year, Mamut Art Project will also be taking place at Küçük Çiftlik Park on March 26-29, once again bringing independent, multifaceted art to the public of Istanbul.
