Mehmet Tekin sets up the canvas as a multi-dimensional and extensive stage. In his paintings where juxtaposing figures prevail, he investigates the essentiality of the nature of movement. Through the movements of his figures, he enables the co-existence of their figures in a peculiar togetherness of space and time, a contemporary chronotrope.

Tekin's second solo show "Movement" will be on view from 29 April to 21 May at Oktem&Aykut Gallery.
