Pera Museum presents a series of talks as part of Pera Film and Video events: “Talks on Video Art”. The second event of the series will present Yasemin Özcan’s artist talk on the 18th March Wednesday at Pera Museum auditorium. “Yasemin Özcan is an artist whose work centralizes the performativity of objects, people and institutions, focusing on how they bring themselves into being.” (Özge Ersoy; İstanbulArtNews February, 2015) Özcan started her career as an artist in the late 90s. Although her works consist of various media, video is at the center of her practice. The talk will run under the moderation of Mr. Yavuz Parlar and will focus on the artist's video practice, with an intention to start a discussion on problems and needs of production, and competence in digital platforms.
