Associating the local art links with international art connections, The Moving Museum has positioned its structure by finding a ground for itself to open up a space over the young art environment in Istanbul after Dubai and London.
The structure, which positions itself in temporary spaces within a set-up associating the concept of museum with artist residency programme from contextual point of view, contains new works of invited artists. If we look into the conceptual text chosen for Istanbul selection, The Moving Museum has been aimed to be a proposition on new generation artists' own practice. Project is also defined as constructing a structure that is pioneering to have a relationship with different social networks and research by creating a space to this temporary structure in Istanbul. Aya Mousawi and Simon Sakhai, who have accomplished this project within this concept, have formed this structure by getting support from local connections in different time zones. The intensity of foreign funding in order to realize the project financially, is quite remarkable. Although support for art production comes from local sources every so often, it is possible to state the continuity of this as a hard situation within this concept.
When it is looked to the structure that is gathering 46 local and international artist within the project, we come across with locally known names in Istanbul art environment such as Aslı Çavuşoğlu, Leyla Gediz, Volkan Aslan, Nilbar Güreş. Providing enough time for the chosen artists, to provide works from different fields of art is attention drawing. Chosen for the space for exhibition, which will be held after artist residency programme, Şişhane car park was transformed into a temporary art space. The speeches and presentations of invited artists before the transformation of the project into exhibition have actually emerged as a dynamic structure. It is not possible to look for a unity in between the works in exhibition. The exhibition is installed in Şişhane car park in a way to create a perception that is more like visiting individual artist ateliers rather than an exhibition. It appears in front of us as an important choice from the perspective of exhibiting the re-transformation of a public space such as car park into a museum, which is another public space.

Among the works in the exhibition especially Aslı Çavuşoğlu's marble work called "Woman with a hat" is about association of hat law of new formed Turkish republic in 1926. Also, Leyla Gediz's installation called "Jump Cut" is read as an area that she shares her own artistic practice individually among her nine different kind of work. Another attention grabbing work is from Ming Wong, who imitates Bülent Ersoy, who is known as the diva of Turkish art music, as her performance. Wong, performs a classical Turkish art music piece song called "Yüz Karası (Disgrace)" in an impressive way during her performance.
The Moving Museum appears as an impressive proposition on being a more dynamic structure by getting out of known museum concept. It should also be researched from the point that the preferred space is gathering a public space such as a car park and a museum space.
